About Us - What We Do

Rose Speech Therapy is committed to holistic, client-centred care.

We assess and treat speech and language problems in adults to support their ability to communicate, including supporting people with eating, drinking and swallowing problems (dysphagia).

We work closely with patients, carers and other professionals, such as care home staff, to improve a patients’ ability to communicate and maximise their quality of life.

The services we offer include:

  • Assessment of communication disorders using published and informal assessments
  • Assessment of eating, drinking and swallowing disorders
  • Diagnosis following assessment
  • Links with other professionals involved in a client’s rehabilitation
  • Therapy plans and goal setting
  • Using technology to deliver therapy and facilitate communication
  • Training and education
  • Clinical supervision to other practitioners

These disorders may occur as a result of:

  • Brain injury
  • Brain tumour
  • Dementia
  • Motor Neurone Disease
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Stroke
  • Voice abuse, misuse or pathology
